Journalist: Mr. Ambassador, according to a spokesman of the Eelam People’s Revolutionary Liberation Front, India may soon hold talks with Tamil groups.

Ambassador: That’s right.

Journalists: He, however, said that he was not aware I members of the dominant LTTE group who are now called “terrorists” by the Indian government, would also be invited.

Ambassador: Very correct.

Journalist: Isn’t it true these LTTE “terrorists” were originally trained and armed by the Indian government to fight the Buddhist Sri Lankan government?

Journalist: Mr. Ambassador, Sikh freedom fighting organizations in the Punjab have issued a mandate against the killing of innocent children and women.

Ambassador, That’s right.

Journalist: They have also decided to drive out from the Golden Temple elements that were extorting money in the name of the freedom fighters.

Ambassador: Very correct.

Journalist: Don’t you agree they resorted to these actions after it was discovered that Ribeiro’s specially created “Mafia gangs” were actually doing all these dirty acts to discredit the freedom fighters?

Ambassador: Not in national interest to disclose.

Journalist: Mr. Ambassador, according to the eminent jurists like Rajinder Sachar and V.M. Tarkunde, the amendment in the Constitution would mean that “any person could be arrested, tortured in police lockup and even done to death without any opportunity of availing of the legal redress”.

 Ambassador: That’s right.

Journalist: They have also said that the amendment expressly authorizes the President to declare an emergency in respect of the whole of India if he does so in relation to the state of Punjab.

Ambassador: Very correct.

Journalist: How can India still claim to be a democracy and how can Sikhs feel secure in such a regime which discriminates against them so shamelessly?
