CHANDIGARH: Five persons were shot at and one injured by the Gunmen in Batala in the Gurdaspur District in two different incidents in the last 24 hours. Security forces partly lifted the five day old blockade of the town by All India Student Federation workers and Damdami Taksal. First incident took place on the Amritsar Batala road when Gunmen stopped the car of the victims, pulled them out and shot them at a short range. The injured person who has been admitted to the hospital said that a passenger belonging to another community was spared by the killers. Curfew is still continuing in Batala, Jullundar, Nakodar and Muktsar. According to a report certain villages were also search around the towns of Dhaliwal, Chogawa in Gurdaspur, and Ajnala in Amritsar.
