CALCUTTA: Film-maker Satyajit Ray’s condition was causing concern Wednesday night after he developed breathing problems, according to a medical bulletin issued by his personal Physician, Dr K.B. Bakshi.

Dr Bakshi and a team of doctors were attending on Mr Ray. Different modes of treatment were being explored in consultation with experts at home and abroad, the bulletin said,

Seventy-year-old Mr Ray has been in a city nursing home since the end of January after he developed cardiac problems and resultant complications.

Meanwhile the veteran film maker Satyajit Ray, who developed respiratory problems a steepening, was yet to show any marked improvement and doctors were keeping round-the-clock vigil on the renowned film-maker, according to family sources.
