Dr. Gurmit Singh Aulakh, a well-known scientist in the area of Nucleic Acid Hybridization, has joined the World Sikh Organization. Dr. Aulakh was working with Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston and left it to serve the Sikh cause.

Dr. Aulakh received his Ph.D. degree from Howard University, Washington, D.C. in 1973, and joined National Institute of Health Bethesda, MD. the same year as postdoctoral Fellow. In 1976, he was appointed as Senior Staff Fellow and in 1979 he became Special Expert in Laboratory Oral Medicine at NIDR. In 1983 he joined the Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital as Senior Research Scientist.

Dr. Aulakh has more than 28 publications to his credit and he is internationally recognized in the field of Nucleic Acid Hybridization. He has contributed chapters to number of books and has been invited as speaker at International meetings.
