S.Didar Singh Bains President World Sikh Organization has resigned from the Chairmanship of the Sikh Council of North America in view of his deep preoccupation with the WSO work. Explaining his resignation to the World Sikh News, he said that Sikh nation was passing through an unprecedented crisis and its very survival was at stake. He appealed to all Sikh institutions/Associations of the World to extend their active support to WSO so that the cherished dream of Sikhs for a Sovereign State can be realized. “‘It was disunity among the Sikhs that was being exploited by the Indian Government,’’ he said. ‘‘Time had come for a United, well-coordinated and concerted action,” he said. He, however, ¢xpressed his unhappiness at the unhelpful attitude of Sikh Council of North America and appealed to them to come out of their self-imposed aloofness and join the mainstream in order to march triumphantly to the “great goal.”

  1. Sukhdev Singh Mundi also resigned from the office of the Vice-president. He also felt unhappy at the inertia of the Sikh Council of North America.
