NEW DELHL, India, June 29, Reuter: The death toll in a bomb attack on a cinema crowd in India’s northeastern state of Assam rose to seven on Wednesday, the Press Trust of India reported.

The agency said two of the 15 people critically injured in Tuesday night’s attack died in the hospital.

Police said they believed members of the United Liberation Front of Assam (ULFA), fighting for an independent Assam, carried out the attack.

They said the unidentified gunmen lobbed three bombs into a Crowd leaving a cinema in the town of Barpeta road. Five people were killed outright and more than 60 were injured.

Police also blamed ULFA for the killings in Assam last week of two senior officials of companies
