PATIALA: Mr, Satnam Singh president of the youth wing of the Bahujan Samaj Party and leader of the Opposition in the Punjab Vidhan Sabha, had said that his would prominently raise the issue of human rights violations in the assembly session scheduled to start on February 27.

He said his party would urge the slate government to hold a high-level inquiry into such violations and punish the guilty. He said his party would mount a political attack on Mr. Harcharan Singh Brar, Chief Minister, for allegedly including oat corrupt ministers in his ministry. He said Mr. Brar was also resorting to nepotism, favoritism, etc. like his predecessor. Mr. Kainth said the BSP was ready to accommodate the Lok Hit Party headed by Mr. Ajmer Singh Lakhowal in the coming general election if the Akal Dal heaved by Mr. Parkash singh Badal had no objection. He that seat adjustments with the Akali Dal would “be finalized before the Hola Mohalla festival, but there was no question of mentioning on electoral alliance with the BJP.

Mr. Kainth said the party would urge the government to implement the recommendations of the Mandal Com- mission and clear the backing of 35,000 posts belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the backward classes in the government offices.
