ORLANDO: Amrish Kumar Patel was charged for misdiagnosing and wrongful death of an 11yearold girl. Patel was working without a license with a bogus medical services company preying on tourists. Police reported that the girl came to Orlando from Britain only two days before her death. Patel diagnosed her suffering from simple sore throat, when in fact, she was suffering from juvenile diabetes; a treatable disease.
According to sheriff’s office this girl would have been alive, had she” received appropriate treatment. The’ incidence happened during April 1993.
A couple who owned the ware services company had also been arrested. Patel and two others were™ charged for manslaughter, third degree murder and practicing medicine. Without a license.
