Bharatiya Janata Party’s Government has drawn a plan to revamp the police set up in Rajasthan. The revamping program will begin January next year with a starting budget of Rs 70 crore.

Kailash Meghwal, the State | Home Minister, said the State’s Home Department has decided to restructure the police force to enable them to meet the challenges of the modem world. The police personnel would be trained to be more effective and they will be taught to use new electronic gadgets while performing their duties. The home minister said that it has been decided to expand the police force, Meghwal added that a separate Deputy Superintendent of Police will be posted in each district headquarter to exclusively deal with cases related to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.
