NEW DELHI: The Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC) announced to donate Rs 1 lakh each to the families of Satwant Singh and Kehar Singh at a massive bhog ceremony organized at the Motibagh Gurdwara here today.
The Sangat also collected Rs $2,000 on the spot and distributed the same among the family members of the two.
They, were given siropas by Prof. Darshan Singh, Jathedar of Akal Takht. The siropas were received by the widow of Kehar Singh and a younger brother of Satwant Singh.
Among those who attended the function included Lieut Gen (retd) JS. Aurora, Akali Dal (L), MP, Mr. Manjit Singh Calcutta, General Secretary, Unified Akali Dal, Bhai Shaminder Singh, MP and Mr. Avtar Singh Hit, President of the Delhi unit of the Akali Dal.
