BOMBAY: Nelson Mandela, African nationalist leader, has been awarded the Jamnalal Bajaj foundation’s special award for his outstanding contribution to human services,
The special award, named after a pioneering Indian industrialist, carries a cash prize of Rs $00,000 and will be given to Mandela at a special function proposed to be organised in the city next month in cooperation with the African National Congress.
The special award coincides with the birth centenary of the industrialist and philanthropist, after whom the foundation is named.
