AMRITSAR: Baba Thakur Singh the acting chief of the Damdami Taksal has for the first time come out openly with an appeal for unity among the Sikhs to resolve the crisis facing the panth. In a signed press note Baba Thakur Singh has asked the Sikh leaders and all other members of the panth to forge unity in the interest of the community.

He has also appealed to all persons to refrain from killing of the innocent persons in the State and to live according to “Maryada” of the panth. Anyone indulging in the killing of the innocent men and women would not be forgiven by God and will be condemned forever, the Baba said.

Baba Thakur Singh also warned all those who were using the name of the Damdami Taksal and indulging in extortions threats and misdeeds.
