NEW DELHI: Gen Atinder Pal Singh of Khalistan Liberation Organization was brought here from Punjab today by the Delhi police and under a local court’s directions lodged in Tihar Jail till April 6 in connection with bomb blast cases in the Capital last year.

Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate G.P, Thareja of Shahdara lower courts turned down the prosecution plea to extend by 60 days the judicial remand of General Atinderpal Singh of the Khalistan Liberation Organization (KLO).

Mr. Thareja said 10 days judicial remand was enough to find evidence against the accused as it involved the question of liberty of the accused.

Besides Atinder Pal four more people were also remanded to judicial custody in the bomb blast cases, they are: Gurdip Singh, Avtar Singh, Such a Singh and Ranjit Singh.
