CHICAGO, ll: The Sikh Religious Society here held an Akhand Path, a continuous recitation of Guru Granth Sahib to pray for Ranjit Singh Gill and Sukhminder Singh Sandhu.

The Akhand Path started on May.20 and on May 22 the sangat of Chicago prayed to Waheguru to let these two innocent people free.

Gill and Sandhu are currently lodged in Metropolitan Correctional Center, N.Y., pending extradition proceedings, initiated against them by the government of India.

The sangat, following an appeal by Dr, Gurcharan Singh Dhillon of California and the organizers also collected funds for the legal defense of the two young Sikhs.

Earlier, Surinderpal Singh KaIra, Harbhajan Singh Gakhal, and Satnam Singh Kahlon of Chicago had teamed with Bakhar Singh Sidhu and Guyjit Singh Gill to assist Dr. Dhillon in collecting a substantial sum of funds for the legal defense of Sukhminder Singh Sandhu and Ranjit Singh Gill.
