Chandigarh: Punjab Chief Minister’s son Gagandeep Singh had temporarily succeeded in dislodging workers of the AISSF and Damdami Taksaal from Akal Takht with the help of a large number of armed men. ‘They had attacked and fired on the Federation Workers injuring three of them. In the evening a heavy police force entered the Darbar Sahib complex and arrested many people and closed down the office of the Taksal ‘opened in the complex. Taksal people were prepared for the worst. They have recaptured the complex and a large number of youth and federation workers have been now stationed inside. In the meantime Gurcharan Singh Tohra has openly criticized the Taksal saying that many people have infiltrated into the Taksal who are damaging its image. But at a meeting held at Chandigarh youngmen belonging to Longowal group expressed the views that what Barnala’s son had done was not tight. They strongly criticized their action and the plan adopted by Barnala and his son. They don’t subscribe to it and they want some way out, some sort of settlement to be arrived at with the Taksal, Akali circles generally do not agree with the strong arm tactics adopted by the Chief Minister and his son. Secondly Bimla Khalsa on hearing the incident of yesterday reached Amritsar and joined the Taksal workers.
