CHICAGO: The Punjabi community of metropolitan Chicago is celebrating Vaisakhi on Saturday March23, 1996 at7 pam. The venue is Center East Auditorium, 7701A, N. Lincoln Ave. in Skokie, Illinois.
A traditional state of the art colorful ‘Punjabi cultural and variety entertainment program titled “Rangla Punjab “96” will showcase Bhangra. Gidha. Punjabi songs music, poetry, skits and many other youth and adult items from the land of five rivers
(Punjab), Punjab, a region covering parts off India and Pakistan, where Vaisakhi is a major folk festival.
“Rangla Punjab” a widely attended, ‘major annual Punjabi event in Chicago is organized by the Punjabi Cultural Society ‘of Chicago to preserve and promote Punjabi artistic talent. The program is not for profit.
