NEW DELHI(PTI):Poland can be a gateway for easier access of Indian exports to the European Union (EU).
This was indicated during discussions between the visiting Polish minister of industries and trade marak pol, and Andrej Byrt, minister of foreign and economic relations of Poland when they called on the commerce minister Panjab Mukherjee here last week.
The Polish ministers indicated that Poland had applied for full membership of the European Union (EU) which would give it duty-free access to what was emerging as one of the largest markets in the world.
Mukherjee agreed with the Polish ministers that there was substantial scope for increasing the two way trade between India and Poland and the avenues of cooperation should be actively explored especially in the areas of joint ventures and technological collaboration, The Polish side apprised the minister of the progress of the process of privatization in Poland which had opened up new possibility for bilateral trade.
