The local police have seized the Malayalam translation of the famous book of Periyar E.V. Ram a swamy Ramayana, A True Reading, from the printing press Titled Ramayana, Kettu Kata, the news of its seizer has shocked the intellectuals of Kerala where Periya the great Dravidian revolutionary, is held in high esteem. The book originally in English was published by Veeramani, Dravida Khazagham General Secretary, from Madras several years ago and thousands of its copies were sold all over India. The police charge is that its Malayalam version will promote anti Hindu hatred but we learn it is the handiwork of some upper caste Nairs.
