BAHRAIN: Iraq is seeking normalization of relations with Iran which is the key to the resolution of all the problems in the region Izzat Ibrahim vice chairman of Iraq’s ruling revolutionary council has said reports BBC.

Ibrahim who was in Teheran for three days of talks with Iranian officials was quoted by the Iraqi news agency as saying on Jan 8 that Iraq hoped to succeed in laying the foundation for strategic relations between Iraq and Iran so as to achieve the interests of the peoples of the two countries and the aspirations of the area peoples for security stability and peace

Ibrahim began talks Tuesday night with the Iranian vice-president Hassan Habibi who headed his country’s delegation to the meeting in Teheran INA said.

An atmosphere of joint desire for action to expedite the normalization of relations between the two Muslim neighbors prevailed during the meeting INA reported.
