BAKERSFIELD, CA: Bhai Jaipal Singh of Bakersfield gurdwara died in a car accident on Nov.26. He was returning from a “Kirtan’ at Porterville when the tragedy occurred on Freeway 99.
Bhai Jaipal Singh was the granthi of Bakersfield Gurdwara from 1987 to 1992. He was well known for his melodious kirtan and knowledge of Gurbani; He will always be remembered for his selfless devotion to the Sadh Sangat, gentle nature and sense of humility. Jaipal Singh served the community by performing ‘kirtan’ in USA, England, Canada and many other countries.
The antim sanska of Bhai Ji will be held on Dec.3 at 3 p.m. in the Green Lane Mortuary and the ‘Bhog” of the ‘Path’ and Kirtan will be held on Deo.11 at 3 p.m. in Bakersfield Gurdwara, 1925 Planz Road.
