KALKA: Mr. Lachhman Singh, MP, has asked the DC here to spend most part of his Rs one crore grant, under the MP’s discretionary quota, on irrigation projects in the constituency. Mr. Lachman Singh said that at 11 places in Pinjore block, deep irrigation tube wells would be installed for agricultural purposes, on which Rs 88 lakh are proposed to be spent. The tube wells will be installed at Saketri, Teepra, Bitna, Naggal Rootal Dholan, Tagra, Kheranwali Lehi, Kiratpur, Basolan, Ram Nagar (Kholi), Maranwals and Paploha villages. Rs 2.5 lakh would be spent on the construction of a protection bundh between Alipur and Tangri villages where side banks of the nadi have caved in.
