CHANDIGARH: Inspector General of Police (Border Range), D.R.Bhatti, has clarified in a statement here recently, that the four victims of militants at Tarsika village in Amritsar were not relatives of a police constable, as reported in this newspaper. He has also said that the CRPF post was located at a distance of 2.5 kilo Meters from the spot of the killings and that Army units were located four kilometers away from the Scene of the crime.
Reporter at Amritsar has ‘stated that the victims were relatives of Gurdip Singh, a Special Police Officer (SPO) under training at the Task Force Training Center, Kapurthala.
