THIRUVANANTHAPURAM (PTI): The south Indian state Keralas chief minister K.Karunakaran admitted to the medical college hospital June 3 following a car accident was June 4 shifted to the Sree Chitra institute of Medical Sciences here after a team of super-specialists from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi examined him.

The Union Minister for health and family welfare M.L.Fotedar who had accompanied the team of experts from Delhi told newsmen that the condition of Karunakaran who had received a scalp wound in the accident was very stable.

But the experts had recommended that he be removed to a place where he would have complete rest for the next three days without any visitors. The medical college hospital was overcrowded and resembled a steel mill Fotedar said.

According to the doctors Karunakaran was responding well to treatment and should be alright in three days” Fotedar said and added that Karunakaran was cheerful when I met him.”
