MADRAS: Prime Minister P.V. Narashima Rao said Tuesday that question of banning militant organization LTTE was being examined.
We are examining it. It is in an advanced stage” he said in reply to a question from newsmen during his brief stopover at Meenambakkam airport on his way to Tirupati to attend AICC (I) Plenum
Asked whether center would intervene in view of recent Cauvery tribunals direction to Kamataka government to release 205 TMC FT of water to Tamil Nadu and Karnataka governments “dilly dallying tactics” in this regard Rao said “I have to find out the latest position.”
To a question on decision of several political parties in Kamataka to boycott tribunal and their suggestion for another round of meetings between Kamataka and Tamil Nadu chief ministers Rao said he did not have any idea of what was latest position. “I have been busy with preparation of resolutions for Tirupati session.”
On Kamataka chief minister Bangarappas decision to resign his AICC(I) membership Rao merely said “we will solve it.”
