BANGALORE: THE federal minister of state for external affairs, Eduardo Falerio, Wednesday said Pakistan was raising bi lateral issues at international for a despite India pleading with it not to do so, and this was hampering development of good relations between the two countries.
Though India wanted a negotiated settlement on various issues, “our sentiments are not reciprocated by Pakistan on the ground level”, he said, adding Pakistan was re quested to stop aiding in then or them Indian states of Punjab and Kashmir but had taken no action.
On Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) activities in India he alleged that the Sri Lankan Tamil militant group has “played a notorious crime role” in the assassination of former prime minister Mr. Rajiv Gandhi, “Our own force is dealing with them in India”, Falerio said.
The Sri Lankan foreign minister had of freed his country’s full cooperation to deal with the LTTE, but no concrete proposals had been made so far. Information provided by Sri Lanka was quite useful in investigating the assassination case he added.
