CHANDIGARH: The senior Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader, Acharaya Dharmendra, described the recent bomb explosions in Bombay and Calcutta as part of an international conspiracy of the Islamic imperialism to dominate the Subcontinent.
Addressing a press conference here, he offered full cooperation of the ‘Sant Samaj’ to the Prime Minister, P.V.Narasimha Rao, to combat such disruptive forces.
Islamic imperialism has become a threat not only to India but to the entire world. It has always been its dream to usher in a green revolution in the area between the Suez Canal and Indonesia by any means, the Acharaya said.
Calling upon the Central Government to create an atmosphere of mutual trust and cooperation among nationalist forces, he regretted, that it was, however, busy in suppressing the awakening among the Hindus, Such attempts would neither be in the interest of the nation nor the Congress, he added.
Replying to a question, he said that after construction of the Ram temple at Ayodhya, the VHP will also stake its claim over Krishan Janam bhoomi at Mathura and the Vishwa Nath temple at Kashi.
“We cannot guarantee that their demand will remain confined to these places,” he said and added that the decision of the Supreme Court over Ram Janam bhoomi will not be acceptable as the courts have no jurisdiction to take a decision about religious beliefs of a community.
The VHP leader cautioned the Central Government against its attempts to divide the samaj. He also ruled out any link between the incidents of Ayodhya on December 6 last and the explosions, saying that the Central Government had, however, provided every opportunity to the Islamic fundamentalist forces by issuing misleading statements.
About the Ram Janam bhoomi issue, he said that VHP and the samaj will not accept any temple constructed by the government sponsored trust at Ayodhya. “The temple, if constructed, will be demolished,” he said.
