JAMMU (PTI): The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced setting up of a two tier public grievances cells at the state and district level as part of the political initiative to restore normalcy in the troubled northern state.
According to an official release here, the state level cells created in the civil secretariat in the general administration department will be under the direct control of state chief secretary, while the district level public grievances cells will be headed by the deputy commissioners of the respective districts.
The setting up of this two tier grievance cells was in pursuance of the announcement made by the state governor, General (retired) K.V. Krishna Rao in his first address to the people of state on March 12, immediately after assuming office.
