CHANDIGARH: Khalistan Armed Force (KAF) chief Sukhwant Singh, alias Sukhdev Singh, alias Bomb, and KAF Lt Gen Harpreet Singh, alias Devinder Singh, were killed in an encounter in Gurdaspur district recently.
Sukhwant carried a prize of Rs 5 lakh on his head, while Harpreet Singh had an award of Rs 1 lakh on his head. In another encounter, the security forces gunned down two militants, Jasbir Singh and Ranjit Singh, in an encounter at Kaleke village in Barnala police district.
In the third encounter, the security forces shot dead a militant, Satnam Singh, atJaito Sarja village in Batala police district.
One more militant was shot dead by the security forces near Chugithi village in Jalandhar district.
