NEW DELHI India: A prominent Congress (I) politician in India’s troubled northern state of Punjab committed suicide yesterday the Press Trust of India (PTI) reported.
Birpal Singh 48 a former General Secretary of India’s ruling Congress (I) Party shot himself.at his home in Ludhiana district it added.
The Punjab Government ordered a day’s mourning for Mr. Singh a former Congress (I) Minister. All Government offices were shut for the day the agency said:
