FRESNO, Ca.: Kern Sekhon, a 16 year old Modesto High Junior, won the Class A 12gauge event Sunday in the 1986 Western Open Skeet Shooting Championships. Sekhon notched a perfect score of 100 targets at the competition, sponsored by the Northern California Skeet Shooting Association. He had to shoot 100 targets in the morning and another 100 targets in the afternoon. He shot 97/100 in the morning and 100/100 in the afternoon with a total score of 197/200. He won the tournament defeating all 50 competitors (seniors, juniors). The tournament is sponsored by National Skeet Shooting Association Kern shoulders a Browning Belgian over/under shot gun.
