CHANDIGARH: Mr. Darshan Singh, acting Jathedar of Akal Takht, left his residence at Zirakpur for an unknown place on the fourth day today of his five day ‘ekantwas’ (seclusion).
Mrs. Manjeet Kaur, wife of the Sikh head priest told newsmen at Zirakpur that Mr. Darshan Singh left the house in a car in the afternoon to avoid meeting visitors. Who had been coming in large numbers .
In reply to a question she said she had received a large number of telephone calls regarding rumours about an imminent raid by a Delhi police party to arrest Mr. Darshan’ Singh in connection with a sedition case registered against him in Delhi, But so far, no police party had turned up.
