COLOMBO, Sri Lanka: Military officials say 28 people have been killed in a bomb blast aboard an intercity bus in North Central Sri Lanka, The attack comes two days after 29 people were killed in an another bus explosion in the same district.
A spokesman for Sri Lanka’s joint operations military command blames Tamil separatists for both bombings.
‘The two bus attacks coincide with the third anniversary of savage anti-Tamil riots in which more than 450 people were killed,
‘Tamil rebels are fighting to establish an independent home land in the island nation’s north.
