Goyal Commissioner and Secretary Development and Panchayat Department Haryana observed here yesterday that it was not enough to give financial aid incentives and know how under various schemes launched by the Covers or living below the poverty line buttr must also be ensured that the schemes were implemented fully and the beneficiaries did actually rise above the poverty line.
The required follow up action on the part of the functionaries engaged in the job, he added.
Goyal was presiding over the annual prize distribution function of the Ambala Rural Development Agency.
Navraj Sandhu, Additional Deputy Commissioner cum Chief Executive Officer, District Rural Development Agency revealed in her report that 5,470 families in the district had benefited from various government schemes during 1988
89 against a target of 3,536.
