CHANDIGARH India: Five members Panthic Committee in a press statement warned the Punjab Chief Minister against the systematic killing of the Sikh youth and called upon him to instantly put a stop to this bloody game disregarding the warning the statement said would spell disaster for all concerned. The responsibility for the resulting situation would squarely lie exclusively on the shoulders of Mr. Barnala. The press note was signed by Baba Gurbachan Singh Minochail Bhai Wassan Singh Bhai Channan Singh Bhai Gurdev Singh and Bhai Rur Singh.
The Committee alleged that a poor Sikh Surinder Singh Chhinda of Ferozpur was killed by the police at the instance of a Punjab Minister and certain other influential persons. They also charged that another young man Nirmal Singh was tortured with red hot iron bars in the Kadian police station. The press note warned that all those who were committing such heinous crimes should remember that Sikh sangats are aware of their crimes and they will be made to answer for them in due course.
