LONDON: GP Hinduja, a London based nonresident Indian businessman and one of the accused in the controversial 1.3 billion dollar Bofors Gun Deal, has refused to be interrogated by the CBI.
In New Delhi where he fears arrest but has repeated the offer to be interviewed in London.
Hinduja’s solicitors have said in their reply to the CBI’s letter of April 23, 1990 “the entire conduct of this matter (Bofors) leads us to only one conclusion, namely that your repeated demands that our client should appear for interrogation in New Delhi are aimed purely at securing the physical presence of our client in India so that you can arrest him on some charge or other.”
