BOMBAY: The forthcoming Indo Pak hockey Test series is to be officiated by neutral umpires as the Indian Hockey Federation (IHF) accepted the Pakistan federation’s suggestion in this regard. ” Mr. K.L, Passi, secretary IHF told reporters that the federation had recommended the names of three neutral umpires to its counterpart in Pakistan to supervise the seven match series to be played on both sides of the border from July 30 to August 11.
If Pakistanis accept the THF’s recommendations, then umpires from England, Spain and one more country would supervise the matches, Mr. Passi said.
According to the revised schedule, the first Test is to be played at Lahore ‘on August 7, the second at Quetta (August 9) and the series will conclude with the third match in Karachi on ‘August 11.
The Indian leg will include Tests at Delhi (July 30), Luck now (Aug. 1), Gwalior (Aug 3) and Agra (players benefit match Aug. 5).
