NAGPUR India, Reuter:
A waterlogged outfield meant play could not start until midafternoon on the second day of the second test between Sri Lanka and India.
A total of 200 minutes was lost after overnight rain left puddles at one end of the ground.
On the first day Sri Lanka were all out for 204, batting first after Skipper Duleep Mendis won the toss. Play was called off because of bad light 82 minutes before the scheduled close shortly after India began their innings.
Indian openers Srikkanth and Lamba resumed today with no runs on the board, having received only eight balls before play ended yesterday.
The first test in the three match series was drawn.

Scores: Sri Lanka 204, India 324 for three, Amarnath 131, Vengsavkar 115 not out.
