NEW DELHI, India, May 31 Reuter: At least 12 people were killed and about 15 injured when a gas cylinder used by a street Hawker to inflate balloons exploded in the North Indian city.
The explosion, near a crowded Hindu temple in the Sikh holy city on Monday night, spread panic among devotees and residents.
Sikh militants fighting for an independent homeland are active in Amritsar but police said the explosion was an accident.
