They, instead, blamed the Union government for instigating the current eruption of violence in the State. Categorically denying that the Khalistan Commando Force was in any way responsible for the killing of 18 innocent persons of a joint family on Thursday night, the K.C.F., the Bhindranwale Tiger Force of Khalistan and the Gurjit faction of All India Sikh Student Federation charged in separate press statements that the killings were being done by the government to malign the freedom fighters in particular, and Sikhs in general.
