New Delhi, India — Nine pilgrims, including three women and two children, were killed in southern India Sunday in a collision between their car and a truck, the United News of India reported.
The news agency said the accident happened near Cherlopalli in Andhra Pradesh state as the pilgrims were going to the Tirupati temple, one of the holiest seats of Hinduism.
It said police arrested the truck driver.
