Amritsar — The Shiromani Gurdwara Pabandhak Committee (SGPC) expressed regret that some newspapers have created a misunderstanding in connection with the SGPC provision for arms training at various Sikh shrines and had “‘twisted and colored it in a manner.”’
A press release issued by the SGPC headquarters on Wednesday had made an effort to remove the misunderstanding and said it was a routine provision. The arms referred to training in the budget meant training given to Sikh youth in “Gatka and sword wielding.”
