The Punjab government has constituted a seven member Project Level Committee headed by Mr. J.S. Kesar as Project Director in addition to his work as Director cum Joint Secretary, Local Government, to monitor the pace of work and implementation of the project for the development of the area around the Golden Temple complex at Amritsar.
According to an official announcement, the other members of the committee include the Amritsar Deputy Commissioner, the Senior Superintendent of Police, the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, the Chairman of the Improvement Trust, the Senior Town Planner and the Superintending Engineer, Public Works Department (B and R). The headquarters of the committee will be at Amritsar.
