Meanwhile, curfew continued for the fourth day Tuesday in the seven police station areas of the city which has been witnessing violent incidents since June 23 when police opened fire in Pan Wari village to prevent sever a hundred people belonging to one community from attacking a marriage procession of another caste.

District magistrate AK Verma said combing operations had begun in rural areas and in the city for weapons and suspected characters.
