JALANDHAR: Bhai Satwant Singh Khan Chhata, Bhai Baldev Singh Johal, Bhai Jangbir Singh and Bhai Sukhbir Singh, all senior functionaries of AISSF (Manjit), announced their resignations from the group to join the Federation (Presidium). In a statement, the four functionaries said that Bhai Manjit Singh had departed from the course charted to by Sant Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale and had sold off the federation to the Central government. They added that careerists of all kinds had swarmed the group who wanted 40 barter away the Sikh youth’s sacrifices for the sake of power. Sikh Youth of America, World Sikh Organization, Kaur Organization and I.S.Y.F. in joint statement appealed to the militants to release Romanian diplomat Livue Radu. This picture of Mr. Radu flanked by two militants was widely published in India.
Media which was reportedly delivered by the militants to the news agencies.
