AMRITSAR, Punjab, India: In a press statement issued in behalf of the Panthic Committee, Bhai Wassan Singh, member Panthic Committee, stated that no individual or organization had the right to reconsider the resolution on Khalistan adopted at the 1986 Sarbat Khalsa Convention. The struggle to liberate Khalistan started after the destruction of the Akal Takht by the Indian army, Up till now this struggle is being waged from the Akal Takht and it will continue till the establishment of Khalistan, the statement said.

Indian government unleashed a reign of terror and slaughter against the Sikhs in June, 1984, which has been continuing with the same ruthlessness resulting in the martyrdom of thousands of Sikh men, women and innocent children. If still some individual or organization will accept anything less than, Khalistan, then, Guru Panth will not forgive him.

The Panthic Committee appealed in the statement to Singh Sahib Bhai Jasbir Singh that as the Chief of Akal Takht he should take appropriate steps to translate the 1986 Sarbat Khalsa resolution of Khalistan into reality rather than, reviewing the resolution.
