Jerusalem — Israeli troops Sunday shot and wounded a Palestinian youth during a stone throwing incident in a refugee camp north of Jerusalem, Israel radio said.

The radio said troops arrived in the Kalandia refugee camp after a commuter bus running between Jerusalem and the Israeli West Bank settlement of Shilo had both front windshields smashed by rocks.

The troops, who also ran into a barrage of stones, opened fire and wounded Marai Salah Farhan, 17, in the knee. There were no injuries among the passengers. The report said the youth was hospitalized.
