TORONTO: Last Tuesday, young Sikh students of Metro Toronto organized a walkathon to help sick children’s hospital. Their target was to raise $10,000 for the hospital and according to the latest news $15,000 jobs has already been collected and more pledges were coming. This marathon was started from the Scarborough Gurdwara at 9:00 in the morning and reached Malton Singh Sabha Gurdwara in the afternoon and ended in the Ontario Khalsa Darbar at 3:00 p.m. Participants were greeted with great enthusiasm at each place and even the bad weather was not able to weaken the spirit of young pride Sikhs, In total, about 50 kilometers were covered in this walkathon and Canadian media also gave wide coverage to this first of its kind event.
