CHICAGO the W.S.0. General Body at its annual meeting here adopted a resolution pledging to pursue the cases of the two innocent young Sikhs, Ranjit Singh Gill and Sukhminder Singh Sandhu arrested at a New Jersey gas station. The text of the resolution is as follows:

“ Resolved that the General Assembly delegates of W. S.O. General Body held on June 27th, 1987, at Gurdwara Chicago feels seriously concerned at the arrests of two innocent young Sikhs, Sukhminder Singh Sandhu and Ranjit Singh Gill by the F.B.I. under pressure from Indian authorities who are falsely implicating in criminal cases and indiscriminately killing the Sikh youths in India.

Further resolved that W.S.O. will take every possible step to secure the honorable release of these two young men and pursue their case as a prestige issue”,

Through another resolution, the delegate assembly stated that:

“W.S.O (U.S.A.) will honor and support all directives issued at the Akal Takht for the creation of Independent Sikh State called Khalistan”.
