ROPAR: The Punjab Chief Minister, Mr. Harcharan Singh Brar, announced that the construction of the Guru Teg Bahadur Marg, on the pattern of Guru Gobind Singh Marg, from Anandpur Sahib to Delhi, in memory of the sacrifice of the ninth Sikh Guru, will start on Noy.26.

While disclosing this at a political conference organized by the District Congress Committee at the local Giani Zail Singh Nagar, the Chief Minister said that his government would organization massive march from Anandpur Sahib to Delhi on the same route which was adopted by the guru at that time. The march would also begin on November 26, the ‘Shaheedi’ day of Guru Teg Bahadur, as a first step towards the making of the new marg.

Top Congress leaders of the state as well as members from the Council of Ministers would take part in the march which would conclude at Gurdwara Sisganj at Delhi where the Guru sacrificed his life.

The Marg area which falls in Punjab territory would be widened by the Punjab government while the areas which fall in Haryana and Delhi would be developed by the respective governments for which a request would be made by Punjab government to the heads of the state.
