SHARJAH, Reuter: Pace bowler Curtley ‘Ambrose took four wickets as West Indies beat Pakistan by 11 runs to win the Champions Trophy Cricket Tournament for the third time on Saturday.
Pakistan, looking for their second win over West Indies in the three-nation tournament, were bowled out for 224 in 49.4 ‘overs. West Indies had made 235 for six in their 50 overs.

Courtney Walsh dismissed Shoaib Mohammad for 15 at 49 and it took a fourth wicket stand of 79 between Miandad and Salim Malik to receive Pakistan’s fortunes. Salim Malik’s innings of 38 ended when he was caught off a lazy shot.
Despite useful contributions by Mansoon Elahi, 33, and Ejaz Ahmed, 17, the task proved just beyond Pakistan.
‘West Indies’ long standing opening partnership of Gordon Greenidge and Desmond Haynes provided the impetus for their team’s challenging total with an opening stand of 74.
Greenidge hit 37 and fellow Barbadian Haynes made 45
Carl Hooper and newcomer Keith Arthurton consolidated with a stand of 67 for the fourth wicket. Hooper struck 62, including four fours, while Arthurton’s 27 included a six off leg spinner Abdul Qadir.
